Open Fields Founder and Director, Jean K. Aull, Retires

This summer, long-time Director and Open Fields School founder, Jean K. Aull, announced her decision to retire. Jean tirelessly served the Open Fields Community since the school’s opening in 1971, and happily celebrated the school’s 40th anniversary this past year with one of the school’s largest graduating classes in its history. We at Open Fields are indebted to Jean for her leadership, guidance, and the loving care she has shown her students throughout the years. We will miss her daily presence at the school, but look foward to her visits!

Nellie Pennington, Chair of Open Field’s Board of Directors, has generously agreed to take on the role of Director at the Open Fields School. Nellie’s children are graduates of Open Fields, and she has been a long-time supporter and friend to the school, including her eggs-traordinary work with the biennial Great Goose Egg Auction. Her enthusiasm and deep familiarity with the school will be invaluable assets in her role as Director. Thanks, Nellie. Welcome Aboard!
