Penteggram

The following was attributed to the Roman poet Ovoid, roughly translated to Poultish in 666 by the monk Nawbawth the Malodorous, and loosely adapted to English in 2008 by the artists: “Which persons, desiring to keep healthly and productive fowl and to contain the evil humors arising therefrom, would do well to construct a five pointed star, or penteggram, of divers eggs, and girdle said star with a circle of aromatic woods to contain the noxious effluvia. The maker is further advised to use many and large eggs, that envy be aroused in the fowl flock and incline them to competition.”
