Kate Mortimer is an art teacher and artist in many mediums who has taught in public and private schools at all levels and worked professionally in the fields of animation and illustration. She is also a regional coordinator for the biannual Global Art Project for Peace international art exchange. As a craftsperson, Kate fabricates and sells one-of-a-kind fiber/fleece dolls and painted paper baskets under the name “sometomato”. She has a background in Anthropology and Ethnology, as well as Fine Arts, and has always been interested in Aboriginal art and legends.
